The Department of Health (DoH) is responsible for health and social care services, public health, hospitals, primary care, mental health services and the health and social care workforce.
Political leadership
The department is led by minister Mike Nesbitt (Ulster Unionist Party).

Three bills are currently attributed to DoH:
- Hospital Parking Charges Bill — passed, Royal Assent
- Adult Protection Bill — Committee Stage
- Hospital Parking Charges Bill 2026 — passed, Royal Assent
